If you’ve never considered Canada as a viable option for your higher education, you really should.

The country is an outstanding example of a modern state that has developed a tradition of providing excellent post-secondary education opportunities to its citizens.

There is no doubt that Canada is one of the most desirable destinations for higher education, with its many post-secondary institutions providing you with a wide range of educational opportunities.

One of the more favored methods of entry into Canada is the Student Visa.

What is a Canada Student Visa?

What is a Canada Student Visa? A Student Visa is granted for the purpose of studying in Canada.

The student must, however, have their parents sign a form acknowledging that the child is accompanied by their guardian or a stipulation that they are financially capable to attend the University of Canadian.

The Canada Student Visa is the authentic documents that enable you to either enter or return to Canada as a full-time or part-time student for as long as the validity is still valid.

Getting a student visa to study in Canada is a critical and important part of your application procedure for students who are planning on studying in Canada for the first time.

When you apply for a Student Visa in Canada you are making an investment in your educational future.

By getting your education through an accredited school in any of the many provinces of Canada, you are helping the Canadian economy grow and help support the people of Canada as well as other international students who are interested in studying in Canada.

There is a lot of work ahead for you once you are an adult, but it can be made easier if you follow the right path and use the help that is available to you.

One of those tools is the ability to get the information that you need to make the right decision about your education.

Difference Between a Canada Study Visa and Canada Study Permit

Is there a difference between a Canada Study Visa and a Canada Study Permit? Yes, there is!

A Canada Study Visa allows you to enter and exit the country as you wish but doesn’t give you the permit to study in Canada. A Canada Study Permit gives you permission to legally study in Canada.

You can have a Canada student visa and enter the country but without a study permit, you are not eligible to study in Canada.

What is the Process of How to Study in Canada?

How to apply for a Canada study visa is fairly straightforward if you follow the right steps. First, you have to get all of your credentials together.

Your records will include proof of educational achievements such as your diploma or registration card from your college and any courses taken overseas as well as a passport.

Studying in Canada is not rocket science, it is easier than you thought. I have broken the process of how you can study in Canda into 3 different steps and they are as follows;

1. Search and Choose an Educational Institution in Canada

2. Apply For a Study Permit

3. Apply for a Canada Study Visa

Search and Choose a Canada Institution

The first process on how to study in Canada is that one must choose the university or college from which they wish to begin their study in Canada.

There are many options when it comes to studying in Canada. There are many designated institutions that you can choose from to start your study in Canada.

Once one has chosen a school, they must then choose the right type of program for them; whether they want to study towards a certificate program, a diploma program, or any other program.

Getting accepted into any university in Canada is going to take some hard work and effort, but it is not impossible!

You need to ensure that you have all the requirements that are required for a program before you apply. Most importantly make sure that you are taking the time to go over any documentation that is required.

One of the important documentation that would be needed for any institution in Canada to give you admission is the Language Proficiency Test Result.

As an international student, it is also important that you evaluate your credentials in order to be given admission to any of the Canada-designated institutions.

Evaluating your credentials

If you are an international student, you would need to evaluate your credentials before you can apply for admission in any of the Canada Educational institutions.

The reason why you need to evaluate your credentials is to convert and translate the academic degrees or professional degrees or certificates that you have in your home country to a Canadian degree.

To do this, there is a recognised body that does this, please go to Wes.org to get started with evaluating your credentials.

Language Proficiency Test

If you would like to study in Canada, you would have to take a language proficiency exam that would test your reading and writing skills in either English or French.

You need to pass the language test for English with at least 6.0 CLB and 7.0 for the French language.

To register and undertake this test, please click here to go to the designated body that is approved for conducting the language proficiency test for English.

PS: Some Educational institutions in Canada do not require a language test once your first language is English or French.

Designated Learning Institutions

Since you have evaluated your credentials and now have a language proficiency test result, it is time to choose one of the amazing designated learning centers in Canada for your study program in Canada.

Canada is the homeland of international students around the world since her many colleges and universities offer high-quality education.

If you want to apply to a university or college in Canada and study abroad, there are usually certain universities that the Canadian authorities have chosen for international students.

These universities are officially recognized as designated learning institutions by the Canadian authorities and thus you can easily be given admission to any of the institutions of your choice among the designated learning institutions.

Please click here to see the list of the designated learning institution that you can choose from and easily get admission into a school in Canada.

You can view this list of designated learning centers by choosing the province you would like to study in Canada.

For students who wish to enroll in a post-secondary school in Canada, they should first make a list of colleges or universities that are authorized to teach post-secondary courses in Canada.

You can do this by going through the local college’s website. After making a list of colleges or universities, you need to compare their study programs and fees.

For a fee, some schools offer special programs such as one on one tutoring, specialized degrees, or clinical experiences in the field of study you choose.

Once you have chosen the colleges or universities in Canada that you think will offer you the best study program, you need to apply to enroll in a course or program that is in line with your previous studies or professional degree in your home country.

Once you have applied, you will need to wait to get accepted into the school before you move to the next step on how you can study in Canada.

Many times there will be multiple documents that need to be sent along with your application and this can delay things greatly.

Stay focused and make sure you send in all the documents the school request from you.
