Recruitment for Nursing Job in Canada…Get Started with Your Application Today!!!
Canada is one of the top destinations for nurses from across the world. It is a land packed with challenges and opportunities for those who are passionate about helping others.
Nursing is one of the best professions in the world and getting a Nursing job in Canada is easy for those who have the right skills and qualifications.
Canada has attracted thousands of overseas nurses to its shores over the years and the number is growing by the day as more of them are realizing the benefits of settling down in this beautiful country.
Canada, aside from having some of the best medical institutions, also offers nursing careers in a wide variety of hospitals and health care facilities.
Different Types of Nurses in Canada
There are many different types of nurses in Canada. Some are general practitioners who work on a clinic-based basis and give treatments to patients of all age groups.
Some others provide primary healthcare services and some specialize in specific fields.
Registered Nurses or RNs, on the other hand, are professionally trained nurses who supervise the tasks performed by doctors and nurses and offer medical guidance to patients.
A nurse works under the supervision of one or more registered nurses and is responsible for seeing that all the prescribed treatment plans are being followed by a particular patient.
RNs are usually in charge of dealing with patients of varying ages, both young and old, and they are also responsible for carrying out routine, preventive health screening procedures.
Hospital in Canada
A hospitalist, on the other hand, is an RN who specializes in providing healthcare services at a local hospital or medical centre. A hospitalist is able to treat and diagnose a wide range of diseases and injuries, depending on the location of the hospital and the needs of the patient.
Hospitalists can be found at hospitals in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and all other Canadian provinces. In fact, there are many hospitalists in New Brunswick that are post-graduates from prestigious colleges in that province.
Other jobs in the nursing field include registered nurses who supervise the duties of other nurses, and these nurses are known as nursing assistants.
Registered nurses work under the direction of a licensed practitioner or RN, and these nurses are qualified to perform all the tasks that are required of them.
Duties of a Nurse
The main duty of a registered nurse is to see that the prescribed courses of nursing are being taken and that all the requirements are being met by the patients that they are overseeing.
However, registered nurses are not directly involved in the day-to-day care of patients. Some nursing assistants will help the RN by administering hygienic care and physical examinations.
Other duties might include counting pills, preparing the patient for a visit, and taking vital signs.
Finally, there are Licensed Practical Nurses or LPNs (licensed practical nurses), who have more education than the RN. These nurses are licensed to perform the same type of tasks that an RN does, but the LPNs are allowed to have more experience in the field, due to their specialized training.
In order to become an LPN, you need to obtain your education from an approved educational institution, pass the necessary examinations, and then get certified by a professional nursing board.
Becoming an LPN takes much longer when getting a job in Canada as compared to other countries, but the pay is much higher, and many choose this career path to start their career.
Finding jobs in Canada for nurses is quite simple, as there are plenty of options available. It is just a matter of finding the right nursing company or Hospital to work for.
Many nurses have set up their own nursing agency, so if you wish to work in Canada, this is a great option for you. You will be able to make a nice salary, and travel around to different nursing facilities as often as you want, so you won’t have to quit your job if you find one in a new location.
